I want to put a thanks out there for all my new followers. I haven’t been on the computer much the past couple months, some of you might have noticed the lack of anything new. Just a brief note on what I’ve been doing… Nothing. Well, I had my interview for the job I hope to be getting soon. I have gotten into a writing craze, meaning that I really want to write but am only slightly doing so. Mostly I get caught up in ideas and wanting to learn all about that before I start incorporating it into a nonexistent story. I start class tomorrow, Math 99… I can use good energy sent my way for that.
Yesterday I went and met Margaret Behan, one of the International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers. Thursday she did a healing over me and my mother, and then on Friday we spent all day with her in a circle of about fifteen other women. It’s hard to describe how intense it was. At one point Grandmother Margaret got up and had us encircle one woman in particular and said a prayer over her. By the time it was done most of us were in tears. This woman was in a lot of pain over her abuse at the hands of her soon to be ex-husband. The healing energy of the Grandmothers is … amazing. When the day was done she gave us each a picture of the Thirteen Grandmothers with the Dalia Lama. My experience with being in such a great presence as one of the Grandmothers will stay with me all my life. The group of women we were with was the most amazing group I’ve been with, we fit so perfectly. Everyone there was over 40, except for Grandmother Margaret, who was the oldest, and me and another girl who were both 20 and there with our mothers. It was one of those moments when I felt truly in the presence of greatness, and could feel like I was powerful and have an important future. All the women there were therapists, healers, shamans etc.
